My sister, Mary, and her husband, Eddie, are in a Florida hospital, this evening, recovering from surgery. Eddie, a diabetic since childhood, has been on kidney dialysis and the transplant list for some time....and when it became clear that the wait was going to be greater than the odds of getting a new kidney, Mary decided to donate one of her own.

I am indescribably proud of her....and, also, admittedly jealous.

To love someone THAT much, and be loved the same way is an incredible blessing....one that I want. I will have it, one day, and I am willing to patiently wait for it. And until it happens, I have the best inspiration there is.

Please say a prayer (or whatever you do) for their speedy and successful recovery.
